I organized two international conferences: the 31st International Conference on Application and Theory of Petri Nets and Other Models of Concurrency (PETRI NETS 2010) and the 10th International Conference on Application of Concurrency to System Design (ACSD 2010), Jun/2010.

I am editor (with Luís Gomes) of a book entitled Behavioral Modeling for Embedded Systems and Technologies: Applications for Design and Implementation, published by IGI Global. This book was launched in Jul/2009 and it contains 15 chapters, written by leading researchers and respected industry practitioners. See more information.

I was PC co-chair (with Ralf Lämmel) of the 3rd International Summer School on Generative and Transformational Techniques in Software Engineering (GTTSE 2009), held in Braga, Jul/2009.

I organized the 7th Workshop on Model-based Methodologies for Pervasive and Embedded Software (MOMPES 2010), held in Antwerpen, Sep/2010.
