Alan Chalmers is a Professor at the Departement of Computer Science, University of Bristol, United Kingdom. His research interests include High Fidelity Physically Based Rendering, Parallel and Distributed Rendering and Visual Perception. He did his PhD in Parallel Processing at the University of Bristol, in 1991. He published more than one hundred papers in both international conferences and journals. He is a chair of the Eurographics series on "Graphics and Cultural Heritage", he is a member of the Eurographics Executive Committee and member of the editorial board of the journals "Parallel Computing" and "ACM Transactions on Perception". From 1999 to 2001 he was Vice-President of ACM SIGGRAPH.

James T. Klosowski is a Research Staff Member at Visual Technologies, IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. His research interests focus on Computer Graphics, Interactive Visualization, Parallel and Distributed Rendering, Visibility
Culling, Collision Detection and Multi-Resolution Representations. He did his PhD on Applied Mathematics and Statistics at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, in May, 1998. He published several dozens of papers both in international conferences and journals. He has been a member of the Program Committee of several Computer Graphics related international events.
